Migration
Migration
Why do animals travel thousands of kilometres? How do they find their way across oceans, continents and skies, often without ever having travelled those routes before?
In this issue of Wild Roots, young readers explore one of nature’s most remarkable phenomena: Animal Migration.
From the Arctic tern’s incredible journey across the globe to the bar-tailed godwit’s non-stop flights, discover the fascinating lives of migratory birds, whales, butterflies, dragonflies and more.
Through engaging stories, fascinating science, illustrations and hands-on activities, children develop scientific curiosity, observation skills and critical thinking, while discovering how animals navigate, adapt and survive. More than just wildlife facts, this issue helps children connect what they learn with the natural world, recognise the interconnectedness of life and ask deeper questions about nature.
For curious young minds, aged 7 years and above.
